Professional Advice
When considering business ownership, there are only 3 options, Buy, Build, or Borrow. The Buy scenario is purchasing an existing business from an existing owner. Build is as entrepreneurial as it gets, starting a new company completely on your own. Borrow is also called franchising where you are copying an already proven business model. Depending on what you are looking for out of a business as well as your skills, background, and desired lifestyle will determine which of these three options align to you. We help folks navigate thru the maze of more than 4000 franchise options to zero in on something that makes sense to them.

5 Star Tips
  1. Take advantage of our free consultation services. By using an advisor, you do not change the price you will pay for the business. We are in the franchising market space every day and we keep our finger on the pulse of what is happening out there.
  2. Use a critical eye in evaluating your own skill set. For those activities or skills that you are not the expert in (such as legal, commercial real estate, financial, insurance, etc.), make sure you find an expert to work with you as what I call a Virtual Board of Directors or Team of Advisors. Involve these advisors in your decision making process.
  3. Don't believe everything printed on the internet. The internet is a valuable tool for gathering information, but it is unfiltered and is not always accurate. Question everything.
  4. Make sure to consider your exit strategy is going to be. Depending on how you want to get out may be a critical factor in selecting the correct business model for you.
  5. Make sure you understand your unique buyer values. These would include but is not limited to your ideal sales model, employee/management model, current financial situation, timing, etc. Your buyer values will help define the attributes that are important to you in a business.
  6. Do something you can be passionate about.
