The Wit and Wisdom of Kids
Tips for cavity free kids!
Dear Friend,
Back to school is a special time. . .the kids so excited to return to the
confines of a rigid schedule and homework and the parents happy to no longer
have to play social director for the kids. It's a win-win situation!
In all seriousness, returning to school can be a stressful time for everyone
involved so once again I think we need to turn toward the humorous with...
I've compiled another list of stories about kids in school and more great quotes -
this time from school aged children. First the stories:
(All of these are real life examples) A kindergarten teacher was observing her
classroom of children while they drew. She would occasionally walk around to see each
child's artwork. As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked
what the drawing was. The girl replied, "I'm drawing God." The teacher paused and said,
"But no one knows what God looks like." Without missing a beat, or looking up from her
drawing, the girl replied, "They will in a minute."
An honest seven-year-old calmly admitted to her parents that Billy Brown had kissed her
after class. "How did that happen?" gasped her mother. "It wasn't easy," admitted the young
lady, "but three girls helped me catch him."
On the first day of school, the kindergarten teacher said, "If anyone has to go the bathroom,
hold up your hand." A little voice from the room asked, "How will that help?"

A school teacher injured his back and had to wear a plaster cast around the upper part of his body. It fit under his shirt and was not noticeable at all. On the first day of the term, still with the cast under his shirt, he found himself assigned to the toughest students in school. Walking confidently into the rowdy classroom, he opened the window as wide as possible and then busied himself with desk work. When a strong breeze made his tie flap, he took the desk stapler and stapled the tie to his chest. He had no trouble with discipline that term.
One day the first grade teacher was reading the story of the Three Little Pigs to her class. She came to the part of the story where the first pig was trying to accumulate the building materials for his home. She read, "...And so the pig went up to the man with the wheelbarrow full of straw and said, "Pardon me sir, but may I have some of that straw to build my house?'" The teacher paused then asked the class, "And what do you think that man said?" One little boy raised his hand and said, "I think he said 'Holy %$#@! A talking pig!'" The teacher was unable to teach for the next 10 minutes.
